Junior Software Engineer


Scigen Technologies SA is a company providing innovative software and first class services to scientific Conferences for more than a decade. Our expertise is used worldwide by big medical associations and most of our clients are located in the USA.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer who is eager to learn new technologies and join our engineering team for a full-time position in our offices in Xanthi.

Examples of work you might undertake:
  • Work as a team to build new products
  • Improve existing features in order to maintain user experience in a high level
  • Build efficient and reusable front-end and back-end systems
  • Attend Conferences to deploy our products locally

What Skills and Experience you Will Need:
  • Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Good knowledge of an OO language (preferably Java)
  • A solid CS background
  • Good communication skills and team spirit
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Willing to travel internationally 20% of the time
We Will Appreciate if You Have:
  • Experience with Frontend Frameworks (preferably Angular)
  • Experience in SQL and/or NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with a version control system (preferably Git)
  • Experience implementing/consuming REST APIs
  • An eye for detail and a sense of design
  • Comfortable with UNIX operating systems
Bonus Points:
  • Experience in Java EE
  • Experience in a CMS (Drupal, Wordpress) and knowledge of PHP is a plus
  • Typescript and ES6
